Conway real estate is located in Faulkner County, Arkansas, approximately thirty miles northwest of Little Rock. Providing convenient river access, Conway is right on the Arkansas River. Conway sits to the north of Round Mountain and to the south of Cadron Ridge. It is part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-AR Metropolitan Statistical Area. Out of the many fast growing city's in Arkansas, Conway is the second fastest. Three postsecondary educational centers call Conway home, the city is called "The City of Colleges" because of this.

Conway has grown as a trade center for many years as a larger agricultural area, Conway now has a substantial technoligical / industrial base. Industries located in Conway include: Amtran, Baldwin, Carrier, Kimberly Clark, Virco and Piano. Computer database giant's Acxiom has its headquarters in Conway.
The City of Conway was founded by A.P. Robinson, who came to Conway shortly after the Civil War. Robinson was the chief engineer for the Little Rock-Fort Smith Railroad (now known as the Union-Pacific). Part of his compensation was the deed to a tract of land, one square mile, located near the old settlement of Cadron. Robinson deede a small tract of land to the railroad for a depotwhen the railroad came through. He named the station Conway Station after he had a town site close to the depot. Conway Station had only two little stores, a depot, a couple of saloons, a post office and a few temporary housing units.

Conway is a town of education. Conway boasts an excellent school system. Conway has many private schools, among them, Conway Christian Schools and St. Joseph Catholic. Conway Public Schools is the city's public school system, and Conway High School is one of the largest in the state. It's mascot is the Wampus Cat, a six-legged cat with "four to run the speed of light and two to fight with all its might."
The public schools system is broken up into four different categories: Elementary k-4, Intermediate 5-6, Middle 7-8, and High 9-10 at the East Campus and 11-12 at the West Campus.
Conway is the home to three colleges; the University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College, and Central Baptist College. The Faulkner Van Buren Regional Library is located in Conway.
Conway is the third most educated city's in Arkansas with over 36% of the workforce holding very high degrees.
In 1951 the Game & Fish Commission built Lake Conway for recreation purposes. The lake covers approximately 6,700 acres and is not only the largest body of water in Faulkner County, but the largest man-made game and fish lake in the US. It has an average depth of 6 feet with a maximum of 18 feet. It is eight miles long and has 52 miles of shoreline. Conway real estate is the state's most sought after spots for fishing because of its size and location, it is on the Palarm Creek. Main access is from 1-40 via Exit 135 at Mayflower.
Conway residents get to enjoy many opportunities for cultural experiences. For over thirty years the Conway Community Arts Associaltion has been performing for the community. Several times during the year the Conway Symphony Orchestra performs.
There are also many art, music and theater opportunities provided by Conway's three colleges. The University of Central Arkansas's Public Appearances program provides a variety of dance, music, and theater offerings each year.
Conway Public Schools has very strong theater and music programs, with large concert and marching bands that consistently receive high marks in regional competitions.
The Toad Suck Daze, one of the city's biggest annual events, has been ongoing since 1982. This is a community festival that lasts three days and incorporates food, live music and craft vendors along with amusement rides in the first week of May.
