Cabot real estate is located in Lonoke County, Arkansas.  It's the largest city in the county with 21,039 residents.  Cabot is also part of the Little Rock Metropolitan Area.  You won't find a more friendly community or a better place to call home than Cabot and best of all, its just a few minutes drive to Little Rock.  It is only 10 short miles to the Little Rock Air Force Base and about 30 minutes from the airport.  Everything is within easy reach from Cabot using Hwy 67-167 to Little Rock.  The city offers its residents some of the most natural beauty around with magnificent rock formations bursting from the hillsides and views of rolling hills that will take your breath away.

Cabot started out as a much smaller settlement than most, it began on the Fulton & Cairo Railroad at a refueling station.  First appearing in 1873, it has been thought that the town was named after a surveyor from the railroad.  Incorporated in November of 1891, Cabot was the 139th city of Arkansas.

At one time, Cabot was in the shadows of Austin, a much larger city that was once considered a candidate for the state capital.  In the 1950s and 1960s Cabot real estate experienced so much growth that Little Rock was named capital instead.  The Little Rock Air force Base officially opened in 1955.

Cabot Public School System is one of the best school systems in Arkansas and has some of the fastest growth of any other Arkansas school system.  There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, two Jr. high schools  and one high school in the system.  The high school offers a complete variety of cultural and athletic activities.

The teachers of Cabot have all the necessary support they need to help accomplish goals and success for all their students.  They emphasize achievement and implement some of the best practices available for a top-notch education.

You'll never be at a loss as to what you want to fill your time doing.  Cabot real estate offers a large variety of cultural opportunities for its residents.  The city contains a large library with story time for the children, a movie theater, parks, playgrounds, sporting events, annual festivals and events, walking trails, golf courses and country clubs.  There is also unique shopping and restaurants for every taste-bud.   Cabotfest is one of the largest events and is held every October in the downtown area.  This is a community fair that is very popular with the residents.
